Latest News on the Julian Assange Front

The reader may remember that in mid January, Mr. Assange told the world that if Ms. Chelsey Manning was given a commuted sentence, he would give himself up to the US authorities. Well, now it seems that perhaps Mr. Assange, is backtracking somewhat. Or, maybe he never expected Obama to do what he did, and his plan backfired. You be the judge.
So, regarding the backtracking - Mother Jones has done a story and has quoted one of Mr. Assange's lawyers, a Barry Pollack saying:
"I have, for quite some period of time, been trying to get the Department of Justice to engage in some sort of a dialogue about what it is they are looking for," Pollack tells Mother Jones. "Where does Julian fit into whatever investigation they're doing? Have they charged him? Will they charge him? Are they seeking to extradite him? And the Department of Justice has just repeatedly refused to engage or provide any information whatsoever." Furthermore, Mother Jones quotes Assange:
