This is incredible, from Wired Magazine a story about 3 graves uncovered recently in the South of France in the city of Nimes. Back in the 7th Century, Nimes was a military fort on the western edge of the Roman Empire. Eventually the Umayyad Caliphate army conquered it's way North to this region. Fascinating stuff! Apparently there was a mass exodus of refugees at that time, fleeing this Caliphate Army. Read more
